Sebring Project

The owner said this car has been through three hurricanes. Every panel was scratched; most panels were dented. The quarter panels were badly beaten. The students repaired the damage in the Fall 2005 Sheet Metal Repair Class. Two second-year students painted the car in the spring 2006 semester. The entire car was sanded with 320 grit sandpaper; the bumper covers were removed. The students sprayed the sealer, base coat and clear coat. A spray gun dripped clear coat on the hood and when removing the masking, paint was pulled off of both quarter panels. The students prepped the problems and resprayed the vehicle. They also repaired and repainted the moldings.
